Harlequin romances ( at least I think that's what they're called)

Ok, so I've been seeing mentions of this harlequin thing. Now I assume they are similar to what my friend terms 'hysterical romamances' so I am intrigued.

Mcshep only

Anything with Rodney as the 'bottom' partner (I like me a strong John so sue me).

Ideally I'd love something where John has to save Rodney from a bad situation. Abuse, non con, whatever.

But it needs to be a harlequin thingy, or something similar.

There's the harlequin_sga community. There's also a tag for the community on AO3, and here is the tag for Harlequin on Ao3, cross-referenced with Stargate Atlantis and filtered for McShep :P

I love harlequin fic, but I don't have a tag specifically for them on my pinboard, or I'd link to specific ones.
