outsider/insider pov

I would love some outsider POV stories on the Atlantis team. Aliens, earthers, IOA bureaucrats, senior officers, whatever. Also insider POV, Athosian, Marine, messhall staff, Atlanteans who come into contact with SGA1 but are not part of the daily grind. Gen, please.  Thank you.

For a military outsider POV (and later insider), I can absolutely recommend arwen_lune's Rock Happy (http://archiveofourown.org/series/16566) series over on AO3. It's a Generation Kill crossover but the author is so good with introduction and characterization that you don't really have to have any knowledge about Generation Kill at all (it does help, though, and it makes it all funnier and even more awesome :D). She also does tremendous worldbuilding with likeable and funny OCs that fit perfectly into the SGA verse and makes Atlantis and her crew come to live. I honestly love that series.

I love the point of view series by liketheriver. Google liketheriverrun and they are listed in her master fic list. They are all gen and very good. I especially remember liking the pov of Peter Grodin and Teyla's.
