Hello,
I'm looking for stories where the membersof the expedition are behaving strangely to the SGC/their relatives/random earth human and/or they to them to the extent that they have problems to integrate newcomers or to integrate on earth.

Maybe in a closed society us against the galaxy kind of way.
Or a so used to the danger that everyone is always armed and there still lots of children running around.
Perhaps a bunker mentality.

Or a we have to fit in create a help network formal or informal to relearn to fit in or at least not to stand out.
Or in anyother way you think would fit.
How things are and how it plays out both would be fine.
Lots of Plot please so longer stories or those xxxsnippets thingies, however they are called, are preferred

There's not a whole lot of plot, but it's a post-canon story of how the people of SGC see the Atlantians and how they're all different now.

This might have inspired the search, but there's always Some Things by obnoxiouswatermark. It focuses on the differences between SGC gate teams and those who went through the gate in Pegasus.

And there's this previous search for Atlantis isolated/cut off from Earth: http://sgagenrefinders.livejournal.com/334036.html

The ones that came immediately to mind were [livejournal.com profile] pogrebin's story mentioned above, [livejournal.com profile] slybrarian's Dramatic Exit Series (http://slybrarian.livejournal.com/5054.html) (plus the not-really-related commentfic Job Satisfaction (http://bringthehappy.livejournal.com/15962.html?thread=157530)), and [livejournal.com profile] fiercelydreamed's Pegasus Ethics (http://sga-flashfic.livejournal.com/616035.html), particularly the fourth scene. At the risk of seeming lazy, I'm just going to point you at my delicious (https://delicious.com/#janeaverage) for more :)

My second wave (https://delicious.com/#janeaverage/theme%3Asecond.wave) tag has fics where either the new folks don't quite get Atlantis, or Atlantis doesn't quite get them.

On the Earth-is-strange-to-them front, I have a wacky Earth culture (https://delicious.com/#janeaverage/theme%3Awacky%2Eearth%2Eculture) tag. Sometimes the strangeness goes both ways :)

I haven't always tagged it as such, but in ep 03x10 The Return (https://delicious.com/#janeaverage/ep%3Asga%3A03x10-the%2Ereturn)-related fic, you often get a certain amount of difficulty readjusting to Earth, too.

Enjoy!

Scherryzade's Newcomers (http://archiveofourown.org/series/2408?) series has outsider observations of Atlantis both from the Pegasus native perspective and that of new military members of the expedition- long and complex military gen.
