Rodney hurt/comfort

Reading stories in the previous request reminded me of how much I enjoy reading stories with a vulnerable Rodney. I'm looking for stories that probably fall in the hurt/comfort category, but with Rodney being the one injured. Most stories seem to have John taking the brunt of the injuries. I would like to read stories with Rodney hurt and John taking care of him, watching over him, trying to protect him, etc. I prefer McShep, but also like gen as long as the emotions are there. I've already read Sandstorms, Broken Trust, and The Warrior of Oz all of which I love immensly. I've also already read Salt of the Earth, which I have a love/hate relationship with (love the story, but can't get past John's "it's me, not you speech"). That said, please bring on the injured Rodney, (but absolutely no deathfic! I have no desire to be heartbroken.)

Does Post-Trinity mean anything to you? Because that's a whole world of hurt!Rodney. Emphasis on the emotional, but also lots of physical.

I love Post-Trinity fic and have been to her list many, many times over. That's where I first came across Sandstorms and Broken Trust. Unfortunately, I've read them all repeatedly and am now expanding my search hoping others can recommend some good ones that aren't necessarily post-Trinity. You hit the nail on the head, the emphasis on emotional is exactly what I crave in these stories.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful titles. Some of them I have read already, but I ran off to read Clothed in Sealace right away as it was the first in the list I didn't recognize. I'm adding it to my list of favorites, I don't know how I missed finding this before! That's why I love this site and all of you wonderful people who contribute! Without A Paddle (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5020850/1/Without-a-Paddle) by Greywolf Lupous has Rodney becoming increasingly delirious while he and John are being chased by heavily armed and unhappy natives.

Unexpectedly Lucky (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2857636/1/Unexpectedly-Lucky) by Ellex has Rodney caught out by an allergic reaction when he gets up before the rest of the team when offworld.

Selfless Acts Of Misunderstanding (Uncut Version) (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5016456/13/Last-Fic-Writer-Standing) by LinziDay has the team captured offworld when the natives decide to keep Rodney. When they won't feed him until he agrees to stay, the inevitable happens...

The Killing Frost (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3060760/1/) by Sholio is perhaps less relevant and John does end up whumped but Rodney gets far more badly injured and, at one point, is presumed dead!

The Puppet Master (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2332227/1/The-Puppet-Master) is best described by the author's summary: "The Atlantis crew fear McKay's genius has slipped into insanity. Are their worst fears realised, or is there something sinister at work?". It is 36 chapters long!

Maybe I'm Dead, I Just Haven't Stopped Moving Yet (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3148301/1/Maybe-Im-Dead-I-Just-Havent-Stopped-Moving-Yet) has Rodney badly wounded when rescuing an injured John offfworld. I include this because John recovers but Rodney's injury finds him sent back to Earth for treatment and to make a new life for himself. Angsty wringer but not a heartbreaker, with terrific OCs. Just 29 chapters in this one!
