World building fics

This is my first time posting here, so apologies if I get this wrong.  I would love to read more fics like East of the Sun, West of the Moon, where the SGA team finds itself in an entirely different environment and has to adapt to survive.  Not just AU, but a whole new set of challenges.  (Hurt/comfort is my happy place.)
I prefer gen, but will read anything if it's really well written.

They are both John/Rodney but nothing explicit between them and brilliantly written

You should try Ripples in the Space Between (www.mardahin.net/sga/Ripples/ripples.html) it is a story about the city being abandoned by earth and creating their own society. The website might be down/dead but you can find it using the Wayback Machine.
