Alpha/Omega McShep

Hi all, I'm looking to find out if there are any Alpha/Omega McShep fics, non-werewolf. I've been seeing this trope in a lot of other fandoms but I don't think I've seen any McShep.

I've tagged this as bonding/bonded since these types of fics generally contain some element of "YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE FOR ME" and there tends to be some kind of bonding element, similar to the werewolf concept of mate.
But if anyone disagrees, or has better-focused tags please let me know!

Someone requested that over at my McShep tumblr. I didn't find any that specifically met the Alpha/Beta/Omega trope, but I did compile a list of werewolf fics.

Finish your other fic and then write an A/B/O fic? IDK. But if you need a cheerleader, I volunteer! If your plans to write one never come to fruition, that's fine too :P

Well, I've made plans to go to the Third Annual squee weekend in October (http://neevebrody.livejournal.com/233981.html)and I kind of wanted to bring fic as a gift so that would work out well for timing! (my big bang gets posted sometime early Oct, I think, so that would leave all of Oct for writing A/B/O).

Now the debate starts! Who is alpha, who is omega?? I must admit, I'm leaning toward Alpha!John. rawr.

I second - and third *raises both hands* - for John as alpha. When John gets growly and commanding on the show? Hot as fuck. Like in Condemned, when Ronon gets snarly with John - and John gets all growly in return and I shiver. And John's a bamf, think of The Storm/The Eye - now imagine that if he'd been an Alpha, too.

As you said in your post, it does not have to be werewolf to be A/B/O...so maybe a vampire with A/B/O...it could work (a lot of vampire fics do tend to have a dominant hierarchy of things).

Yes, i should be quiet. I'm about 18k in my SGA BB. It is a shifter fic with a twist. =) (no, A/B/O and it would be Shorne anyway ;)) (HATE THAT NAME).

Now. I need to figure out the ending. I thought I had it but it doesn't quite fit anymore. SIgh.

Do you know how much we are supposed to have done by the "rough draft" deadline? Just curious.

I know last year you had to be about 90% done - you could have some placeholder scenes but you were supposed to have a beginning, middle and end. And it didn't have to be beta'd for draft submission.

you might want to check a few of the Sentinel crossover/fusions for that kind of fic because the Sentinel/Guide dynamic has a lot of the "you're the only mate for me" going on. And some of them even go further into the pack dynamic (like werewolf fics do) by having John as the Alpha or Prime.

Hopefully you'll find a few stories at those links that have the kind of dynamic you're looking for. The series Kiera wrote has multiple pairings but is mostly McShep.
