People of Atlantis help Sheppard recover

Hi all, I'm looking for stories where Sheppard has been through a traumatic/arduous ordeal, and the people of Atlantis rally behind him and help him recover (with the focus on this latter part).  The longer the better, gen or slash.  I've scoured this community and tags a million times for other stories to read, and I can't remember a request along this line but point me the right way if I'm wrong...Thanks all for your contributions.

I appreciate any recommendations/pointers. I've read so may SGA stories, it's hard to remember what's what anymore (even my favorites get forgotten in the mix!). I've read this one before, but a long time ago, so it's a welcome reread. Thank you!

I think the above fic might fit your criteria. In it, Teyla & Ronon help John deal with what happened to him while in captivity. Soon the whole expedition, seeing that Teyla & Ronon method are working, also use it to help John.

Based on your description, the story sounds perfect! :) I need a pick-me-up after reading a story where John *didn't* get the support he needed. Team fics are great and all, but I love seeing the loyalty and goodness among the rest of the expedition.

Auburn's In The City of Seven Walls. Granted, most of the original expedition members were no longer there, but it made me sad to see how people were insensitive to one of their own (not intentionally for the most part, but enough to isolate those in need).

A bit off topic. I haven't posted in fandom/livejournal in so long. It feels so good to talk about fan stuff with fellow fans again :) What amazes me is the still good levels of interest and participation after cancellation.

I can totally understand you wanting to read something a bit more uplifting after that. I didn't even read the first half of that fic. I read the companion fics that were written from Teyla's and Ronon's point of view. From those fics, I learned what happened to Rodney and John, which allowed me to read about John and Rodney after they returned to Atlantis.
