Hey there,

since I haven't been around in fandom lately, I'd like you to rec me you favourite McShep fics from the last few months (about half a year maybe). I like long fics, so any works with more than 10 k would be very welcome.
Post-series fics dealing with Atlantis on earth are awesome, too. First-time preferred!
Please, guys, hep me, I'm missing my boys terribly right now.

I'd take a look at Keira Marcos's newest fics(plus, she has a delicious account reading list that offers up quite a few good fics for McShep):
http://keiramarcos.com/

Puddleofgoo has also come with a few new ones just recently:

Both Keira and Puddleofgoo have a lot of first times, they also generally focus on AUs. I'd read anything of theirs.

I'd also reccomend taking a look at the 2011 SGA Big Bang. 'Truth, Justice and the Lantean Way' is hilarious and extremely entertaining.

I've written a few recently. Most are short, but I've got one I wrote for the [livejournal.com profile] scifibigbang that's over 70k. You can find all of them on AO3.

Check out [livejournal.com profile] mcshep_match, too. The newest round got done not long ago.

There are a *ton* of new, really awesome fics (McShep and more!) over at [livejournal.com profile] sga_saturday, and there's a tag for "John/Rodney" if you don't like het/gen/non-McShep slash. Here are some of my McShep faves:

Finding Solace in Blue Jello, by [livejournal.com profile] squidgiepdx and [livejournal.com profile] elderwitty. Set on Earth, post-EATG, rated R. Very, very cute story! (Also anything else by these two!)

Stress Fractures (and anything else) by [livejournal.com profile] sgamadison. Chock full of sand, McShep, and snarky ceramics. Rated R.

Sense Memory by [livejournal.com profile] altyronsmaker. Rated PG. OMG, chelle. I heart everything she touches with her pen. This short little piece is so very delightful and stunningly evocative. MUST READ!

Written on Water by [livejournal.com profile] starry_diadem. Rated PG. Please don't let the second-person POV throw you! It's such a beautiful piece and so very well done.

Also: if you haven't checked out the 2011 [livejournal.com profile] mcshep_match entries, go do it! This year's entries were SO MAD BRILLIANT, like the best compilation of McShep lovin' I have seen in one place, OMG, WHAT. Just. GUH.

I recommend EVERYTHING. But srsly, these should help get you started:

The Triboelectric Effect by [livejournal.com profile] trillingstar. Delightfully creepy and wonderfully penned, with John and Rodney being so *very* John and Rodney and also THE best love scene ever. Rated NC-17, but so totally worth it if you don't usually go that route.

Rounded With a Sleep by [livejournal.com profile] chandri. Such stellar writing, this, but does anyone ever expect anything else of chandri? I didn't think so. Rated NC-17, warnings on post.

Violating the Prime Directive by [livejournal.com profile] reddwarfer and [livejournal.com profile] djin7. A great established-relationship fic set in an inventive, clever AU. Rated PG-15, warnings in the post.

There are also zombies, Ferris wheels, Pegasus federations, memory thieves, Todd, Keras, the return of Ford post-enzyme, an Ancient monorail, a wildfire, and enough kissing and fucking to make Ron Jeremy blush.

Also, I write a lot of McShep; gotta get out the pimpage. ;-) It's all on my journal. Happy reading! (Oh, how I envy your reading the McShep Match stories for the first time! *squee*

I second the thank you - the SGA Saturday stuff out there is pretty awesome (and thank you for the shout-out, [livejournal.com profile] hoktauri!!!).

And by the way, [livejournal.com profile] dornfelder, one of the best stories on SGA Saturday is [livejournal.com profile] hoktauri's "Echoes in the Air". So, so, so beautifully done!!!!
