Hi. I just got the DVDs of season 5 and watched The Shrine. Can people recommend any stories related to this episode? I would especially like ones that focus on John and Rodney, either friendship or slash. Thanks.

One of my favorites - and what pointed out some stuff from The Shrine that I missed (though it's really only mentioned in passing) is Keira Marcos' "Human Nature". http://keiramarcos.com/2010/02/13/human-nature/ One word of warning, though - it features evil!Keller. I personally think it's brilliant (I liked Keller's character somewhat, and would have preferred Ronon/Keller rather than the McKay/Keller that the writers forced on us).

Hell - I think I may re-re-re-read that tonight before bed. :)

This is not a Shrine tag, but essential Shrine fic all the same: Rheanna's "Theory of Everything," http://www.goldenmaze.com/theoryofeverything.htm. She basically had the same plot idea long before the episode aired, and "ToE" was the result. Brilliant, brilliant, ineffably moving story.
