Romance/Harlequin McShep

Hey. I have a hankering for some super romance McShep fics.  Angst appreciated. First times would be awesome. Harlequin novel-like fic is perfect. I'm cool with drama and melodrama, and just about everything else. Weddings would be fine. Romance film AU's are great.  Anything with a love story to it, and preferably, a happy ending. AU's are great.

Inclusion of hurt/comfort a super bonus-but focus romance please.

McShep's my favorite. No real restrictions or squicks. Thanks.

Oh, there are ever-so-many lovely schmoopy fics that were written long before KM's AUs! First, try a couple of my all-time favorites! 3 Lovers (http://cesperanza.livejournal.com/120889.html) by cesperanza (the link will take you to the story on her website) is an "Ancients (try to) Make John Do It" team-love fic from Teyla's POV. A Beautiful Lifetime Event (http://www.intimations.org/fanfic/stargate/lifetime_event.html)by Shalott, a.k.a. astolat, is Harlequin angsty wonderfulness as John & Rodney unwittingly create a baby & have to deal with what that means.

Second, check out fiordeligi's post Going to the Chapel (http://fiordeligi.livejournal.com/4501.html), a rec list of McShep getting-married-or-equivalent fics compiled at the end of SGA's 5th season.

Third, be prepared to spend a good lo-o-ong time perusing any of skaredykat's rec lists--e.g., the Skaredykat Loves (http://skaredykat.livejournal.com/1850.html) post--because you'll chortle & click madly on links & find tasty stuff you didn't dream existed!

And another absolute fav angsty 3-hanky-weeper with a delightful ending: Surrogate (http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net/?view=fic&id=85)by seekergeek, an epic-length Big Bang fic that starts out with a badly injured Rodney who's in a relationship with Keller then wends toward eventual McShep by way of self-sacrificing noble!John & an Ancient facility with an offer that will never be repeated. Really.

OMG yes! I re-read Surrogate again after I recced it & gave myself a sinus headache, I cried so much. But it's so, so worth it. Wait until you get to the very end.... !!
