Strong female-centric gen fic?

I've spent hours sifting through various archives, even by individual characters. trying to find some good gen fics with strong female characters, but sadly, they seem to be few or far between. Heck, some of the comms I've looked in don't even have a tag for Keller! 

So, what I'm looking for is any stories in which any of the women of Atlantis (or SG-1 or SGU if you know any of those too) kick lots of ass or are otherwise awesome. My requirements are that it mostly sticks to canon characters and universes, and it's gen only, no UST, het, femmeslash, etc. (although if other romantic couples or OC's make brief background appearances, that's cool).

Note to the mods: I already did look at this post, but it's over a year and a half old, and I've read the ones that fulfill these criteria.

And I briefly checked out your other link and the "Well behaved women" quote is a favorite of mine so seeing that on someone's page always makes me optimistic ;-)

I like gelbes_gilatier's stories. If you don't mind Lorne/Cadman as a pairing, then I would definitely recommend checking out the rest of her stories (http://gelbes-gilatier.livejournal.com/193916.html#cutid1) - particularly the Protect & Survive series (WIP-of-a-sort) & the Pandora's Box series (WIP)...even if you have problems with WIP's, the author is a consistent (semi-regular) updater with a high probability of completing the works-in-question. I'd also recommend browsing through her bookmarks (http://www.delicious.com/gelbes_gilatier/fanfic%3Asga) -- they are tagged by character, pairing, genre, & length.

Have you looked up the fic posts in gate_women yet? They feature a lot of the SGU women but have tags for most SG-1 and SGA women, too.

As for other fics... let me look through my delicious tags...

Strength and honor are her clothing (http://kajikia.livejournal.com/2263.html) by kajikia features a number of female canon characters and OCs kicking ass in a self-liberating op.

A Candle Against The Ocean (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4230007/1/A_Candle_Against_The_Ocean), on ff.net, featuring Miko Kusanagi. It has Sheppard, McKay and Zelenka, too but focuses on Miko and how she finds her strength on a difficult mission.

In Memoriam (http://sga-genficathon.livejournal.com/83858.html) by bluflamingo, features the remaining Whispers team after the ep, grieving for Alicia Vega, with a focus on Alison Porter. Has a teeny, tiny hint of femslash if you squint very much but it was written for sga_genficathon and it worked very well in the story, anyway.

BTW, Pandora's Box is finished for now, with Can't Forget the War (http://gelbes-gilatier.livejournal.com/262208.html) as the last one. There is the idea of a multichapter story (instead of a new set of one-shots) but for the time being, I think it can be counted as finished.

Women characters, both canon and OC, are in the forefront of scherryzade's Newcomers series (http://scherryzade.livejournal.com/tag/newcomers), which is some of the best gen writing in recent SGA fandom.
