Rodney and John as platonic best friends

Looking for those amazing stories that highlight the best parts of the Rodney&John cannon friendship.  The two of them goofing around like little boys, bonding over geek trivia or just being there for each other when things get rough.

Rodney centric would be a plus, but I also love any stories where John falls for one of Rodney's "minions" and they end up talking about it or dancing around the subject.  

I'd prefer at least one of them to be gay or bi, but I'd take gen too if it fits.
Please no unrequited feelings between the two of them, or character bashing in general.  
I'm in need of more cheery endings.

Well, I think it's best to just point you to the genfic writers who do just that:

Sholio (http://www.sholiofic.com/sga/) (A Clear and Different Light (http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net/?view=fic&id=53), the SGA Big Bang fic cowritten with naye, for example, is technically a McShep, but it's almost negligable, and is a very nice, plotty teamfic and McShep friendship story, if quite AU.)

I tried to find you stories that fit your second criteria of John falling for a "minion", but couldn't find any, so here are a few more recs for #1:

mckay+sheppard+general (http://www.delicious.com/csad/mckay+sheppard+general) -- because I couldn't quite decide which of these to rec.

The community sga_genficathon has a lot of well-written stories that focus on plot, friendship, and team in general. Though sometimes it's a bit difficult sorting through the genre, but you'll get used to it.

I've read one story with John and Miko paired... so I've been on the hunt since then.
