Rodney giving up?

Just wondering if anyone had any recs where Rodney basically gives up trying. I've been reading some of the suicide fics, but I'm kind of just looking for fics where Rodney feels like there is no more use trying to make friends, or whatever.

It can be post trinity, but doesn't have to be.

It can end with the team comforting him, but doesn't have to. It is okay if it is just McKay being introspective about how he's just not good with people and there's no reason for him to keep trying, etc. That he thought things might be different here and he actually had friends/family, but realizes now he doesn't. It can end with McKay deciding to leave Atlantis, whatever. It can also be before Atlantis, maybe his thoughts on how much SG1 seems to dislike him or something.

I just want some angsty, Rodney is bad with people, fic.

gen or slash is fine.

It's mostly H/C (more H than C, imho) with some pretty graphic (non-sexual) stuff going on in the hurt portion.

I just came across a good one with this theme! In Opportunity Knocks (http://quasar273.livejournal.com/21616.html) by quasar273, something removes all memory of Rodney from most people in Atlantis. Rodney tries to make a new "first impression" on the people who have forgotten him, but he's very awkward about it.

Oh, hey, don't forget Not Quite an Explosion by lavvyan (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=8427). It's a tag to "Inferno", wherein Rodney throws a tantrum because he feels underappreciated and demands to go back to Earth. It comes as quite a shock to John, who has to think of something to stop it, ASAP.

VERY surprised not to see Light of a Fading Sun (http://friendshipper.laylalawlor.com/fadingsun.shtml) here. Rodney nearly loses all hope for friendship from Sheppard; Doranda is the final straw in an already strained relationship. Then Rodney and John from another universe show up, turning the AU on its ear... Very dark and depressing at first, but obviously things look up. ;)
