I just saw a commercial (as a warning, the link will take you to YouTube to see a Doritos commercial wherein one man loses his pants & another man gets his finger laved by some other man's tongue), and I'm looking for stories that are along that theme: When food cravings make a person do something 'taboo' or just plain crazy - be it licking food off someone's fingers / hands / body or ripping the clothes off their body to get that last bit of flavor off the clothing. The stories could be complete crack!fic - in fact, I love humor - or they could be along a more serious bent where certain Pegasus-native food or beverage products have addictive qualities & affect any of the Atlantis Expedition unexpectedly, or it could be some kind of food kink. I'm pretty much open to any possibilities there are.
I love McShep pairing, but I would also love to read any stories that have no pairings or any other pairings for this search. If there are pairings, please label them.
Thank you!

Date: 2011-02-07 06:15 am (UTC)Thank you! These are all fantastic! Sadly, when I brought the request here, my mind was a blank on story possibilities; although, I was sure there were at least a couple that would fit.... That commercial sort-of took over my brain -- with my brain doing the appropriate John / Rodney inserts, or even a Rodney / Ronon insert for the first scene for a couple loops.... I don't need any help with my mind, do I...? :P~ (supposed to be a drool-y face, but I think I might have it wrong) Heehee!!

Date: 2011-02-07 11:43 pm (UTC)(I strongly recommend staying away from two of the current vampire shows in that case: way too much eyecandy, and also I really think (despite being corrupted by these (http://skaredykat.livejournal.com/5924.html) shows (http://debris-k.livejournal.com/95353.html?thread=528505#t528505)) that girlfriends/boyfriends should not be seen as part of a nutritious diet, and bloodplay really isn't (wasn't?) a kink of mine. Wraith may play with their food but they don't (except for Todd and maybe-Todd (http://blithesea.net/lobelia/ichor.html)) try to date it or turn blood into an, er, feature. Right?)

Date: 2011-02-08 11:43 am (UTC)These do not completely fit (more in a way of "there is food and things happen..."), but my mind came up with them, and nice people at 'storyfinders went into the trouble to help me out with the links, so here they are:
1. I think Rodney likes watching Ronon eat and there is (consensual) finger-licking in
Contraband by hth (Ronon/Rodney and implied McShep)
http://web.archive.org/web/20080120205149/hth.gatefiction.com/alphacen2.htm
2. Rodney eats fruit with a kind of enthusiasm that makes his team hot and bothered. Crack!fic:
Everybody loves Rodney by rasah (John/Ronon, John/Ronon/Teyla, John/Rodney/Ronon/Teyla)
http://community.livejournal.com/team_sga/7676.html
3. Seductive fruit-eating again here:
Forbidden Fruit and sequel Windfall by cupidsbow (John/Rodney)
http://cupidsbow.livejournal.com/189945.html
http://cupidsbow.livejournal.com/193843.html
and a remix/prequel by randomeliza:
Strawberry Juice (The Forbidden Fruit Remix) (John/Rodney)
http://remix.illuminatedtext.com/dbfiction.php?fiction_id=670
4. Oh, and I just remembered one, completely fitting your request, where Ronon takes Rodney's bubblegum or whatnot, because he doesn't know it and is curious. But he takes it from his mouth, so... But I don't have the link, and I feel too embarrassed to go to 'storyfinders so soon again...
...
On the search for the bubblegum story, I found addictive fruits in:
Peach Pit by hallucinogenia, Rodney/Ronon

Date: 2011-02-08 03:04 pm (UTC)Thank you, thank you, thank you! :) I don't think I've read any of those you suggested, & I'm looking forward to doing so as soon as the thought of food doesn't make me do my impression of "The Exorcist". :P
Re: not quite, but...
Date: 2011-02-08 03:19 pm (UTC)Staying away from those 2 shows is not so hard. The first because we don't get the channel that plays it &, sadly, I loved the books too much to actually want to watch the show despite the eyecandy & also because the books are too fresh in my mind to be able to distance them from the show, which IMO takes something away from both if I can't get that separation in my head, which also applies to fanfiction. The second because I just couldn't get into the first 2 episodes & gave up on it. I've tried to pick it up since, but...I think because I couldn't get past the first 2 eps., I've kind of lost it for the rest of the show -- I have read at least 1 fanfic though for the show...It just reads more as original fic than fanfic for me, though. LOL!
And strangely enough, despite my love of vampire fiction, the idea of Wraith & human just doesn't do anything for me. Maybe if the Wraith were prettier? Had more personality? That said, there is one John/Todd series that I have enjoyed... :D

Also, just in case you like some meta with your fic, re one of the recs below (and I'm embarrassed that Forbidden Fruit and Windfall didn't immediately jump to my mind for your request),
...this concludes attempt to lure you to the dark side -- of vampire shows and meta ;)
Re: not quite, but...
Date: 2011-02-09 02:29 am (UTC)Confession: I have a hard time getting that separation between book & show (doesn't matter if it's a movie or TV show) if I've read the book(s) first because when I read, the written word becomes vivid, & usually the media that is based off the book is the faintest watercolor in comparison. However, on the other side of things, I can watch a movie or show & then read the book without any separation issues, and in fact have been known to enjoy that so much more, but that again comes to the part of it being better in my head than what's portrayed in media - the words color in the foundation provided by the media. For example, I love Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series, but the TV show was very jarring to watch after reading the series (backgrounds were changed, characters didn't look the same or similar); however, once I pretty much put it in my head that the show was a kind of fanfiction of the 'real thing' (and Murphy had a dye-job because she got tired of the stereotyping she endured on the job... ;) not true, but it's a possibility since the show changed her from a blonde to a brunette), I was able to enjoy it more. :P
John/Todd series: If you haven't read them, then you should give them a peek (warnings for crack -- the first summary pretty much pulled me in, what can I say...) -- "Beware of Wraith Bearing Gifts" (http://madness-infused.livejournal.com/15812.html) & sequel "Good Clean Fun" (http://madness-infused.livejournal.com/15925.html) by
Thanks for the link to the meta! I'll be sure to check it out when I read her stories. :D
