Characters of different race/religion than in canon?

I just read a fic where Clark Kent was black instead of white. This had a profound impact on who he was, his status in society and his relationship with his white "parents".

This genre is called racebending.

So I was wondering if there are any Stargate Atlantis fics where one (or more) of the characters are of a different race or perhaps a different religion than in canon.

I'll read any pairing (slash or het) or gen. I'm fine with crossovers as well.
