Historical AUs request

Hello, comm. First-time poster here in search of some good fics.

I'm looking for some historical AUs, based on real time periods in history. Stories that make me look something up are all the better. I'd love any time period from 1950's back. Two fics I've read/am currently reading that are like what I'm looking for: wildcat88  's Wirepullers,  lamardeuse  's Road to Nevada, and liketheriverrun 's The Pegasus Device (currently reading, on part 1).

I'm up for McShep or Gen, either or. I'd also take time-travel fics if the characters spent a good part of the fic in the past. But what I'm really looking for are complete AUs in a historical setting. Thanks in advance, everyone.

Have you read zoetrope's "Missed the Saturday Dance" (http://opendoors.transformativeworks.org/mtsd/index.htm)? If not, then you definitely need to check it out -- word of warning, though, that if you are on dial-up, it may load slow, as there are large images involved. IIRC, it's WWII era with McShep Pairing.

“Long Ago (And Far Away)” (http://kristen999.livejournal.com/247944.html) by everybetty and Kristen999 is an amazingly researched WWII AU set in the Pacific. It includes the whole team and Ronon and Teyla with important roles while acknowledging the sexism and racism of the time.

If you want the 1600's and terror on the high seas, try “The Pirate's Prisoner” (http://www.rhymer.org.uk/sga/pirate/pirate.htm) by rhymer.

Both fics include illustrations or pictures.
