Ascended/Ancient!John Stories

(Hi, sorry if this is not the place to ask this - let me know and I'll take it down if it isn't...)

Looking for any and all stories involving John being an Ancient (either knowingly or unknowingly) or ascending or being offered ascention and getting angsty over having to decide.  I'm surprised how little of this genre I can find, and I'm wondering if I am just not looking in the right place.

I found a lovely one where John ascends, and returns with no memory except of being in love with Rodney...and them promptly lost it...

So now I'm jonesing for this genre.

Any ideas?

I was just wondering if the fic you mentioned having lost was Leah's Out of the Blue (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=7300)? Sure. It's strange that there isn't more of this stuff. John is so obviously supposed to have an ancient link. Perhaps the show writers are saving it up for the grand finale, if there ever is one.

I imagine him as an ancient who didn't really want to acsend, but didn't want to get left behind, so now he just keeps coming back every time he dies. A kind of Bodhisattva...but with some rather violent, militaristic tendancies...hmmmm...you can see I haven't thought that out completely.:)

Anyway, let me know if you ever find some more good Ancient!John fics.

You know what. I did read one a long time ago...I cannot for the life of me remember where it was though. I was pretty new to the fandom. It was kind of weird prose, but the premise was that he was the male ancient at the very opening of Pilot, he just kept coming back and coming back. It was kind of hard to follow though.

I'll ask about it on sgastoryfinders...

P.S. gpfg_studios is da bomb. I might pop my eyes out but I can't get enough of the 'verse. (Also I desperately hope I'm not the only soul reading it for glimpses of actor!Rodney... because, just like musician!Rodney, it's supported by canon, and you just know he'd make the best primadona first male lead in any play or movie! /end whistful daydreaming)
