I'm looking for stories where someone gets angry *for* Rodney. It could be direct defence when someone puts him down/does something unkind or because they learn something from his past that they can't do anything about but makes them angry/hurt for him.

In this Era of Liberty by Chandri (http://www.fantasi.net/iteol.html) has a gratifying moment at the end where John expresses anger at people in Rodney's past. Though note that there's a lot of Rodney angst due to John being a bit of an ass before then.

The Words That Bind (http://www.fantasi.net/twtb.html) also by chandri has Teyla angry when she learns about superficial cultural mores from Earth, and particularly angry about Jeannie's 'You're no John Sheppard' remark to Rodney.

Chandri's tackled this theme a lot, now that I think of it! In her Catalysis (http://www.fantasi.net/catalysis.html), Jeannie is bewildered and angry when she explains the taxed relationship between Rodney and her parents to John, and an incident she mentions in that story is expanded on in Balancing the House (http://www.fantasi.net/balancingthehouse.html), when their aunt furiously defends Rodney in his absence.
