I've been thinking about O'Neill and Sheppard's exchange in Rising (O'NEILL: That's a lot of training for the Antarctic. SHEPPARD: It was the one continent I never set foot on.) and wondering if there were any fics that dealt with John being on every continent (Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia, though Wikipedia gives other divisions). Or, are there any fics that at least mention him having been in Africa, for example, or South America? (Non-fic materials, such as military records or postcards from John in Sydney or snapshots of child!John in Japan, are also great.]
