Looking for longer fics (or shorter pieces in a longer series) that have John Sheppard falling in love. Not the hearts and flowers and twelve-yr-old girl kind of love, I mean the type where he slowly comes to realize that the person is important to him and actually lets them in and lets them see the real him for better or worse. Not so much that he gets hits with the clue bus because he's oblivious, but rather his own feelings surprise him.

As far as specifics go, Sheppard pairs up well with most people for me- men and women. So either way (or even in a triad) would be fine. I'd really prefer to skip pairings with Elizabeth or Teyla (sorry, those pairings are just not my cuppa), and if it's slash, it would be nice to see John paired with a man other than Rodney (I've positively glutted myself on McShep).

AU's are cool, as are OMC's or OFC's.

Any rating, and I'm open for most BDSM/kink.
