sgarecfindersokay, I just looked through the Holiday tag and the Alien Customs tag and didn't quite find what I am looking for. So, three things I'm looking for:
1) Holiday fic where someone tries to get any of the Pegasus natives to celebrate the holiday with them and the Pegasus native has problems with it because it's not their holiday and/or something about the holiday is contrary to their beliefs/or is distasteful to them and they just don't want to go.
2) Fics featuring Athosian or Satedan holidays. Maybe it's celebrating the Rings of the Ancestors, maybe its the equivalent of a rain dance, maybe its the equivalent of Rememberance/Veterans day and they're remembering the culled, maybe it's a unique Pegasus holiday, whatever it is, I'd like to see it, even if (or maybe especially if) it's just Ronon messing with their minds and inventing Satedan Knife Throwing Day and they buy it/pretend to buy it and celebrate with him.
3) Holiday fic where Rodney or John or Radek or whomever doesn't want to celebrate the holiday for whatever reason and their wish to do something else instead is honoured. Like maybe instead of John insisting throughout the fic that Rodney should celebrate X holiday with everyone or bug him until he explains why he doesn't want to be at the party - he goes, "okay, so you don't want to go to the party, how about we go race cars instead?" Or whatever.
Any pairing is okay, just make sure you note which pairing (if any) happens to be in the story.
