I just got through reading the Criss-Cross series, and was wondering if anyone could recommend any other stories where it somehow turns out that Jack O'Neill is John Sheppards's father.

Its a series on wraithbait, only the last two stories in the series deal with the Dad issue. The main plot is two John Sheppards in alternate universes switch bodies. Kind of a what if neither John nor Rodney went to Atlantis with the first group.

I meant tag your post like all the other posts at this comm are tagged (and as is described in the rules (http://community.livejournal.com/sgagenrefinders/profile?usescheme=horizon)). Your post doesn't mention the ATA gene at all, so I'm removing that tag but leaving it up to you to add all the other appropriate ones, as mentioned above.

You also get no brownie points for not responding to a modly comment.

Ok, now I'm confused. I don't know what others would be appropriate.

I added the ATA Gene one because in the three stories I've found myself or have been told about, in the type I requested, the ATA Gene is the tip off.

Other than forgetting the tags in the first place I don't understand...

If you checked the other (tagged, natch) posts in this comm you might have noticed a tagging pattern, which is also described in the comm rules (http://community.livejournal.com/sgagenrefinders/profile?usescheme=horizon). That's all that's required, nothing more — the genre tag if the post is not (single) character specific, the character tag if it is, and from then on choose all the applicable tags for what is included in your post. If you need help with the tags in the future please ask BEFORE posting, and I'll happily explain it and even tell you which tags to use if needed.

Like I said in my previous comment, I removed that tag because that theme was NOT mentioned in your post; you can only tag for what IS in your post. Nothing more, nothing less.

Mmm, let me see if I can explain. First, you didn't tag your post. Then you did add tags, in a way that required the mod to check multiple times if you'd done so because you couldn't be bothered to reply to their comment, but your tags were the wrong ones. The mod then pointed you to the rules for tagging and waited for a period of 12 hours for you to tag the post appropriately. Since you hadn't done so, your posting access has been suspended for a month.

Apparently you also posted a specific story search in a comment that has since been deleted, but as I can't have a look-see, I cannot elaborate on that one.

thanks, that's very enlightening. It was my mistake to not tag in the first place. After I tagged it, the wrong-ness of my tags were pointed out and I did try to change it. I tried to take off the ones requested but I couldn't and assumed that was the way it was. I don't often post on LJ st all and it was my first time in this community. Again my mistake.
I did not realize that making a suggestion in a comment that was not also supplied with a link was that heinous of a crime. I only thought that someone else might be able to recommend the story but hadn't thought of it.
I had made other requests after this post and there had been no comments from a mod about those, so I thought I was doing things right. Apparently I was wrong. Hopefully I can take my punishment like the adult I think I am, and make it a learning experience. I will endeavor to restrain myself from posting or commenting for the required month.

And no, story searches in comments aren't a heinous crime (nice phrase), but in combination with the other stuff, they're kind of relevant.

Well that's good, I was seriously doubting my self-control in the face of knowing the answer to a fic search or req.

I appreciate you taking the time to clearly explain my situation. I was afraid to ask for clarification twice, I didn't want to seem snippy or rude. I have only recently had the time to post at all on LJ, I'll have to remember in the future that some communities are a little stricter than others.
