Can anyone think of any McShep hurt/comfort fics that are less well known, heavier on the comfort and not too angsty. I'm a bit of a wimp ;-)

Have you tried reading the Romance team's entries at mcshep_match? I haven't read every single one (yet), but if you work your way back most of them should have just enough angst to make it interesting, and plenty of romance, schmoop and/or hurt/comfort to please.

Finally Found Out (http://community.livejournal.com/mcshep_match/22291.html), AU, definitely good.

The Way the Light Catches (http://www.reversathon.com/Romance-blind.html), lost in the dark together, mmmmmm.

...and I just noticed how many stories I have neglected to read. Darnit. I'd better get on it. Sorry for the small number of recs, but hope you like!

You could also check out Slow Road to Enlightenment (http://mmmchelle.livejournal.com/250011.html) by mmmchelle; it'd the McShep almost-relationship through Rodney's eyes from mid-season 2 through most of season 3. Excellent story, and too angsty, I don't think. Just enough. ;-)
