Rodney on a horse

I would love to see Rodney riding. And I do not mean flailing about screaming. I mean something like he and John galloping across a plain, riding next to one another, possibly with leather armor and great big... swords. with an army of leather clad warriors behind them. If the animal is not necessarily a horse (like the Pegasus equivalent of a horse), Ill read that as well. Mcshep is preferred, but Ill read anything with Rodney on a horse. If it goes well with Viking folk metal, Ill love it. Thank You very much.

There's also some horse riding Rodney in another 2009 SGA BigBang fic The Journey Home: John's Story (http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net/?view=fic&id=76) by puddleofgoo.
It's a McShep story primarily about John, who is forced to leave Atlantis, and quite a bit later has a slightly tentative Rodney getting back in the saddle again and getting back into riding. It's a nice facet to the story, but not a major plot point. BTW, a lot happens in this fic, but I heartliy reccommend it :-D

enviropony has been working on an equestrian AU; I only know of two parts that have been posted so far, though, and I can only find the kidfic backstory part (http://enviropony.livejournal.com/1981.html) at the moment. (Which I recommend, btw, but it's not adult-Rodney-ahorse.)

It's been a while since I read the series. John gets turned into a horselike creature. Rodney rides him (I think) but how confidently he does it is lost in the mists of memory. Might be worth a try though.

There's a story I cannot remember the name of where the Team is asked to ride a horse-like creature on another planet. John expects Rodney to complain and have trouble, but he rides like a pro.

You're very welcome. I'm trying to find another where Rodney accompanies John to his home, but I haven't found it yet. :-P
