Rodney & hallucinations

Hi genrefinders,

I just read As Real As It Gets by thegrrrl2002 yesterday and find myself wanting more hallucinating!Rodney fics. Stories where, just like we all remember from "Grace Under Pressure", he's under great stress/duress and voila! - either figments of his rather ingenious imagination appear, or he mistakes real people for hallucinations.

One I knew existed and promptly dug up on my own: Exceptionally Vivid by etben.

John/Rodney or gen preferred. Feel free to add stories containing other pairings, but please add what they are in your comment.

My Delicious tag Delirium (http://delicious.com/michelel72/Delirium) includes hallucinations as well as the ramblings of delirium/fever/drunkenness/sleep deprivation. Some of those are John rather than Rodney, but several there should fit your criteria, especially "Exceptionally Vivid" (McShep) and "A Rational Universe" (McShep).

The slightly wider interpretation pulls in others: "Tide" (McShep?) is brief and illness-related. "Without a Paddle" (gen) is illness-related and hysterical. "One of Those Days All Week" (I think gen, very possibly McShep) is classic. "Breaking up Is Hard to Do" (McShep) is amusing. "Before the Whales Come Crashing Down" deserves mention, too, even though he's not hallucinating directly.

There are only 24 total in there -- my tags are very much a work in progress -- so I'm pointing you there instead of importing all the links here; hope that's okay. (You might like the others in there, too. I try to have useful summaries there.) Good luck!
