[identity profile] kirinin.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] sgarecfinders
Hello, fen! I am looking for fics in which one of the main characters has a personal crisis related to how they view themselves - they are changing so rapidly that said changes are visible, and maybe a little discomfiting, either to themselves or others. This can be

1) possession-related;
2) related in some way to Ascension or a sudden influx of new skills/knowledge;
3) a result of the effect of some kind of Ancient artifact;
4) or just due to the fact that the character in question is in a new universe with new rules, especially a character feeling that they are 'going native' - i.e. becoming more 'Lantean than Tau'ri.

These are just suggestions, in hopes I might trigger the memory of a particular fic. The identity crisis does not have to be for one of the above reasons.

I've got a particular yen for *Rodney* experiencing any of these changes, but it could really be any of the cast.

Examples might be John in Colorado Springs, where the entire story is marked by the 'Lanteans being *very* uncomfortable on Earth. Empty Vessels has the entire Team rebuilding their personalities in the wake of mass amnesia, and unable to let go of what they've built once their original memories re-surface. The Principle of Exclusion and The Other Half of the Equation both have Rodney's and John's roles blending or switching.

I'm attempting to make a delicious tag for this concept; so even a reminder about a really popular fic would be a great help. Thank you as always! :D
