ok, so i was watching Animal Planet's Most Extreme, and one the list was the pika, a relation to rabbits that is so freakin adorable. and besides the urge to own one, for some reason it made me want to read a fic with cute animals playing a prominent role. while i prefer Rodney-centric, or team-centric, the only thing i really need are some animals that are so adorable you could scream.

I remember a story (sorry, no name or author) where John is captured and there is a small animal that John names Sherbet who tries to help him. There may also have been a sequel. Anyone remember this?

Oh, and pikas are cute. I have an adoreable chipmonk who lives in my back yard/patio and does amazing feats of derring-do on my wooden fence.
