Rodney - Team

Hi. I was wondering if there are any fics that involve Rodney feeling like he isn't a part of the team, or not appreciated by them. I honestly don't have any other specific requests so any genre, pairing, rating...

This is a pretty broad request, and that's part of what makes it difficult to answer...

I did, however, just read Commutative Property (http://crimsonclad.livejournal.com/88071.html), which has heaping piles of somehow believable Rodney-angst, in which Rodney feels himself not quite good enough for the team. It may fit what you're thinking of, though I can't say much about it because it's short and its central premise is a bit of a horrifying surprise.

Ladycat and margarks wrote a little collaborative OT4 fic in which Rodney feels as though no-one on the team cares for him - very good, though you have to hunt around for the next thread now and again. That's here (http://community.livejournal.com/ladycatfic/15162.html#cutid1).

I find myself reccing Sandstorms (http://mithreon.livejournal.com/9418.html) a lot, but I always give some warnings. The Rodney-whump here is pretty spectacular, and Rodney suffers through a great deal before he is able to accept the team, and before John stops acting like the biggest ass in two universes.

The Light of a Fading Sun (http://friendshipper.laylalawlor.com/fadingsun.shtml) is similar in that you do have to sit through much angst before things get better, but it is in no way near as intense as Sandstorms! (Which is, frankly, better for my <3.) Somehow, without quite noticing it as it happened, Team Sheppard began falling apart. Doranda is the final straw in an already strained relationship. Then Rodney and John from another universe show up, turning the AU on its ear...

To Strain for Glimmers (http://chandri.livejournal.com/755632.html) is along a very similar vein as LoaFS, because its central issue is an unhappy Rodney with an unforgiving John. Admittedly, in this case Ronon and Teyla are both rolling their eyes and waiting for the idiots to get it, mostly. "When Rodney makes a difficult choice, John is the only one who blames him for the outcome. Teyla attempts aid through gentle nudging. Ronon rolls his eyes. And Rodney angsts. Meanwhile, Teyla and Rodney together plan for the Athosian Festival of Light."
