Hi there, I'm looking for any fic where John makes Rodney look good to his Earth-based colleagues. I've read a few fics in that vein, but I'm sure there are more out there! I'm thinking of fic where Rodney returns to Earth to attend a conference, symposium, etc. and John is there - for whatever reason. They can already be a couple, though I prefer first-time fics, and Rodney can take him for that reason or suddenly decide to pretend they're a couple or John can suddenly become protective and step up, but the key is that Rodney goes from being pitied/hated to being envied because of the hotness that is John.
