Are there any fics out that deal with life long marriage. between John and Teyla? I prefer those where Teyla does NOT die before John, but I will read most anything.  I seem to be able to find only those with John and Elizabeth living long and happy lives; seeing their children grow up and become the next Atlantis generation. Thanks loads for your help.

So only stories in which they are already married with kids? How old on the kids? Can they be life partners as opposed to married? And only if they still live in Atlantis?

The stories can be a growing relationship that lead to life long commitment. I just want them to 'grow old together'. Any age for the kids; Torren can play a large, small, or no part in the family unit. They can live anywhere and I really like the idea of them being Earth-side.

I've read so many stories of John/Elizabeth and John/Rodney in all kinds of committed relationships of 'till death do us part' and I want to read some John/Teyla relationship. She and John have a unique relationship in cannon and fandom, like her ability to know him and to cross his barriers like no one else is able to do, and yet he always loses Teyla some how in the end. These stories make it seem as though her alien-ness causes her to fade away into the sunset, leave John to take Weir, John discovers Rodney, Teyla chooses Ronon because they are aliens bonded to the Pegasus way of life, or John is left alone and without a relationship forever. I want to read stories where he and Teyla fade away into the sunset together, where John and Teyla leave together and Weir has to find her own happiness, where Rodney is happy to see John with Teyla and Rodney has *his* own life partner, where Teyla chooses John over the Pegasus Galaxy and learns to live on Earth, or where John is alone forever but Teyla stays in his heart as 'his one true love. I don't care if the stories are AU (and don't even get me started on Teyla's and John's relationship in the AU's I've read) I just want the sparky stuff to be about their long life relationship.

Okay so I have a few suggestions below from when I wasn't sure what you wanted.

Now that you've clarified I'm a little intrigued. I have NEVER read a story with the scenario as you describe here but I don't read John/Elizabeth so maybe that is why.

Are there any that you'd recommend in which the true pairing is John/Teyla and Elizabeth is the fallback or he is never with Elizabeth? Sorry but I never got anything but a patronizing mommy scolding the naughty boy vibe between John and Elizabeth. I thought that she was at least 15 years older than he was (because of how she looked and acted) until I learned very recently that the actress is younger than Flanigan. Blew my mind.

In reference to your question, which I believe is "Have I read any stories like I'm asking for others to recommend to me? The answer to that is no.

If you are asking for John/Elizabeth stories I have read gobs of them. I will have to do some backtracking (I will never be as good as you are in finding them, so don't get your hopes up *lol*), but I am willing to do it for you.

Yes, oh yes!to your comment in regards to some of the stories and Weir's demeanor/attitude/personality. I have read others that were simply PERFECTION as well.

In the meantime, I am taking the list you gave me and running to my happy place and read until my eyeballs fall out and creeps away ded. "Beware the Crawling Eye!"

Nope, the photo was taken by an Army photographer. I have no such talent. I think you misunderstood my reply. I don't read John/Elizabeth. I was asking about the John/Teyla fics you mentioned in your original request.
