ATA gene gone amuck

I'm looking for any fics where John's gene stops working, or causes problems for him. It shouldn't happen to everyone with the ATA gene, just John (although there can be a mention that it may happen to others later), but basically Sheppard should be the center of a lot of angst because of it.

I've already looked at crossroads and in the archives, but there doesn't seem to be a tag referencing this issue specifically.

Happy endings only, please! And I'd prefer gen or slash, no het.

There's a short gen one by ltlj: "Orientation" http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/stories/orientation.htm They're investigating an Ancient site and an energy field incapacitates John because of the gene.

I wrote “Through the Looking Glass” (http://kristen999.livejournal.com/208816.html#cutid1) where something adversely effects gene therapy ATA carriers differently than natural carriers. Kind of a darkish mystery where John suffers the worse because he has the strongest expression.
