And on a less porny note, McShep fics where John either gets to see inside Rodney's head and experiences first hand just how much of a genius Rodney really is, or just where John sees Rodney do some calculations/work on a theory/anything with the same result. I've always felt that maybe John doesn't truly comprehend how McKay's mind works, so I'd love some fics addressing this.

I have a story that possibly fits your second request! In rheanna27's Theory of Everything (http://www.goldenmaze.com/theoryofeverything.htm), John doesn't actually enter Rodney's mind, but he DOES get a temporary brain boost that lets him see things as Rodney does.

The story is actually a reverse Flowers for Algernon (a la The Shrine, but written before it aired), but is bookended by Rodney's desire to share his point of view with someone, and that desire being fulfilled:

"God, I wish you could see this."

John waved a hand at the multiple whiteboards lined up all around the lab. "I can see it, Rodney. It's kind of hard to avoid."

"I mean see it," Rodney said. "The math is so perfect, so pure, it's like… a kind of poetry. Better than poetry, because symbols are more precise than words. I know it must all look like squiggles to you, but when it comes together and you know what it's saying -- it's so right it's actually beautiful and it just seems unfair that I can't…" he broke off for a moment and then finished, "that I can't share it with someone."
