season 1 eps specific fics

I've just recently started watching SGA and already I'm feeling addicted to the eps, so I'm looking for episode related stories, season 1 up eps10/11 ('The Storm'/'The Eye'). I'd love anything slashy and good; meaning than it can be excellent gen *shudders slightly* if it's really worth it, or just a slashy take on the event before/during/after an ep.

So far I'm wondering about Rodney dealing with kids (AU for 'Childhood's End', perhaps?), John getting a little "inventive" with the personal shield (in 'Hide and Seek'), someone develeping the vactine (from 'Poisoning the Well') into a suicide/last-minute pill... You know, episode related stuff like that. Pairing is optional, as long as it's m/m.

I already checked at Crossroads but there's sadly very few fics that are tied to the early eps.

_{P.S. to the mods: Have you considered tagging the entries in the comm? It would make it easier for everyone to go over previous similarly-themed searches, and the posters could tag their own posts... Just an idea (based on the system at ds_ficfinders).}

You could try going to wraithbait choosing a category and then a paring, then going to the oldest page and working backwards. If you have the Google tool bar you could use it to highlight "episode related" genres. I tried to do a search for you (choosing a slash paring and then the "Episode Related" genre) for McShep but there were too many results for them to be displayed, but most other parings seem to work. Sorry I can't be more help.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm kinda really hoping for some good recs. I'd like to avoid going through archives blindly as so far I've been spoilt by truly excellent fics and would like to continue reading only the good stuff as long as I can. (I also just finished reading a bunch of Rodney/Radek fics from Crossroads and was really disappointed by about half of them; not exactly reccing material, even if they didn't exactly suck.) I'm a being a spoilt brat this week, hense this search. But thanks anyways!
