John as Rodney's Bodyguard

I just read Ordinary Life byshalott &speranza where John goes with Rodney to work on a project in FL while they are back on Earth for leave.  John is accompanying Rodney as his mathematician, but then ends up defending him when all hell breaks loose.  Does anyone know of any other fics out there where Rodney is doing the science thing back on earth and John ends up acting as Rodney's bodyguard?

You don't say what your pairing preferences are, but if you read McKay/Sheppard/Beckett Splinters and Stones by Kat Reitz and Perryvic could work. It is AU but in it John is Rodney's bodyguard (it also has dubcon, noncon and kink stuff, so you might want to check the warnings and such).

You don't say if you're only looking for slash, but a great John as bodyguard and Rodney as scientist is Never Wanted to Dance (With Nobody but You) by liketheriver - not only is it gen but it's also AU so it probably doesn't completely fit your request. Thanks for the suggestion, I don't mind gen although I prefer slash, but as long as it's well written I love it all. :)
