Cave-ins, please
Nov. 25th, 2008 03:12 amI'm looking for cave-ins. Preferably where John and/or Rodney are caved-in on. McShep is welcome, as is gen.
Thanks in advance.
I can make up my own tags, right? *snerk*

Date: 2008-11-25 02:26 pm (UTC)Gee, no, but according to our rules, it would make my duties around here a lot easier if you used some of the many already existing ones that fit.

Re: [mod]
Date: 2008-11-27 09:39 am (UTC)Sorry (also) about the tag thing. I did use their names, but not the full names. (Couldn't see the tags while I was composing the email - and so forgot y'all use full names. Totally my bad.) Wasn't sure I should use the 'gen' tag, since I said McShep was fine. So I just use 'em all, every one that could possibly fit?
I think I have a better grasp for the next time.
Re: [mod]
Date: 2008-11-27 10:38 am (UTC)And, basically, choose any and all that fit and that are actually voiced in your request, but not any and all that might possibly probably be nice to get recs for, as that gives a whole new name to overtagging (and yeah, it's been done before more than once, hence me being the grumpy voice of tagging experience).

Date: 2008-11-28 12:35 am (UTC)A-HA! And also, Eureka! I knew there had to be some trick to it besides having a prodigious memory. Can I suggest putting that tip on the Comm Guidelines page, to help the LJ-unsavvy among us? By which I mean the me that I was five minutes ago. :>

Hmmm, I see. So my request would have fit 'gen', 'Sheppard/McKay', and 'h/c', maybe? As well as the ever popular 'miscellaneous?'
I think I may even be able to do it right next time.
If you want, I could do penance by replacing those hated "Link in comments" comments with actual links. Copy and paste, takes 2 seconds. I've got the time.

Of course, I was up 'til 8:30am reading them all, but it's okay. I slept in. Thank God for holidays off.

Re: [mod]
Date: 2008-11-28 02:22 pm (UTC)As for your last comment, I dunno what you're talking about as this post of yours has no such comments (perhaps you're thinking of the other comm which *ask people
stronglynicely to do just that?) but your post is fine. And to end with a further hint about learning how to tag - going back a page or two of posts here and checking the posts and what tags they have will give you a fairly basic idea of what goes where when. :-) That's all the wisdom there is, I promise - I tag by experience as well.
Re: [mod]
Date: 2008-11-28 09:03 pm (UTC)You were too busy re-tagging the posts of we LJ-illiterati.
(Thanks for the shove in the right direction!)
Hey, yeah! That was my cunning plan from the beginning. I faked ignorance to point out a flaw in the security system. I'm not stealing these diamonds, I swear.
*Calvin (and Hobbes)-esque grin*
perhaps you're thinking of the other comm
I was. I joined them both right close together and apparently have not been distinguishing them as well as I ought.
Thanks for the further tag tips.
