John takes himself off the team

Hi,

I just read the wonderful story http://maisierita.livejournal.com/10900.html#cutid1  by maisierita  and had a thought. 

In the story, there is a small section that is as follows:

I can rearrange the teams; it'd probably be easiest if I took myself off the off-world roster completely – Elizabeth thinks I ought to anyway, and Caldwell agrees.

So, I was wondering, are there any fics out there where John takes himself off the team?  I've read a few that has Rodney leave the team, but not much of John. 

I love angst, so any that has John leaving (or rearranging the team) out of anger or hurt feelings would be a plus but any with this theme would be appreciated.  Team angst is a double plus.

I love slash but will read gen if written well, I love McShep, angst, hurt comfort, pining.  I'm not into earthside, so maybe no 'John going back to earth', just off the team.

So, there it is, hope you can help me.  VR cookies for anyone who can help.

This may not be what you're looking for, but... The Other Road (http://seekergeek.livejournal.com/75801.html) by seekergeek has Mensa!John hurt by the stories of Colonel!John so he decides to completely withdraw from the team. It's McShep, hurt/comfort, pining, with team angst (and the team plotting to kill all replacements xD), so hopefully it fits the bill?

It looks wonderful. MensaJohn AU's are about the only AU's I like. You get VR Cookies (Double Chocolate Chip) *grin*
