Wraith defeated

I've nearly finished the big bang story Life After by velocitygrass and now I'm looking for stories where Atlantis kicks collectiv Wraith ass. So, stories where the Wraith are destroyed or at least radically decimated by the Atlantis people (plus allies). Reactions from both allies and Earth would be wonderful.

I recommend a wonderful, absolutely fabulous Big Bang fic entitled Providing the Flame (http://sgabigbang.talkoncorners.net/?view=fic&id=22) by sharkie. It's set after the Atlantians destroy the Wraith, and instead of being hailed as heroes, they are hailed as genocidal maniacs, John and Rodney in particular.

Go read it. You seriously won't be disappointed.

They are called genocidal maniacs for ending a race that literally feeds on people, wiping out whole planet populations in the process? This I have to see. *eyes clock, calculates, shrugs* Who needs sleep anyway.

One of my fave methods/consequences of defeating the Wraith was in Pick Yourself Up, Dust Yourself Down (http://community.livejournal.com/mcshep_match/13078.html) by blinkiesays, McShep, PG-13, in which the Atlantis gang ends up stranded without stargates or Atlantis, but finds cows to make up for it. :-D

I'd offer up the one with the giant alien sheep, except there they're mostly just cut off from Earth and have lost Atlantis, or something like that, but I don't recall that there's any defeated Wraith in that one. (It's by eleveninches, that much I know by heart.)

The Wraith are defeated in The Light of Compassion by vainglorious. It doesn't quite fit your other criteria and it's a very, very dark horror story w/ character deaths, though. Thirty-two thousand words.
