Impotent McShep

I'm looking for McShep stories where John and/or Rodney are temporarily impotent, or just can't have sex. The reason can be anything; alien intervention, Ancient device, or something psychological/physiological all on their own.

I think the only ones I've read are these two:

+ The Return to Normalcy by Cypher -- Wherein everyone stays on Earth after 'The Return,' and John can't get it up for a while because he and Rodney associate that with Atlantis.

+ Strange How Certain the Journey by Telesilla -- Wherein John touches an Ancient device that makes him temporarily impotent. (and the LJ link, in case you have issues with this one)

Again, interpretation is subjective. It can be a physical problem, an alien device problem, or just a problem in John and/or Rodney's heads. As long as it isn't permanent.

there is "Fading Skies (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3407991/1/Fading_Skies)" by Diamond-Raven (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/150394/Diamond-Raven) wherein John is impotent because of a permanent injury/disability -- hmmm that doesn't quite fit the 'temporary' aspect of your request - however this doesn't stop them from having an active sex life - so hopefully that doesn't ruin it??

I highly recommend the fic - well written and kept me glued to it from the start

I've read that one! And I agree, what a gorgeous story that had me from hello.

I was mainly wondering about temporary impotence after I read 'Strange How Certain the Journey,' but you're right, 'Fading Skies' does fit the overall category. :)

I should mention that this story has a plot line that might squick some. Saying what it is would really spoil the gradual unfolding of the plot. I adored this story, but I know the author got some comments complaining about the lack of warning, so consider yourselves warned. (I'll say it again, though - I loved this fic!)

John is, sort of. It's a take on "wakes up gay" where he "wakes up straight," which complicates his sex life with Rodney.
