Language fic

 I've just stumbled across this lovely story by Sheafrotherdon http://community.livejournal.com/sticksandsnark/24832.html where Rodney is learning Athosian but is hampered by the gate technology . Can anyone recommend any other fics focusing on any of the characters learning to speak or read other languages (Pegasus or Earth) or how the gate or other technology works as a translation device?

After reading 'Rodney' 'Athosian' and 'Gate Tech' I was surprised to find you *weren't* talking about 'Athosian for Beginners'. I'll have to check out your fic as well. :)

It was actually your delicious account I found in the links that were provided in the above comment. There were some lovely stories I hadn't read and a few I had forgotten about. Thanks for collecting them. I'm amazed I haven't read Athosians for Beginners. That's the problem with loving McShep you miss out on other fantastic stories. It's obviously time to branch out.
