Pet fics and AUs

Having just read the whole of the entangled partials series ( which is awesome and mcshep au fans should def read) I am in the mood for two types of fics.

1. Pet fics: fics where Rodney meets johns dog, or John meets Rodney's cat. Where they don't get along too well with the pet but try because they love the other.
1.1 ( because I'm almost sure I saw something like this once) where John just doesn't get that Rodney's a cat person, up to the point where maybe they fight over which pet to get, until John realises that they can have both.

I am a cat person myself, so cat fics are preferred!

2. AUs where Rodney is a writer, or something similar, like a teacher. Complete AUs where the targeted does not exsist, and John is still military and they still meet and how that works.

Rodney centric
Mcshep preferred
AUs preferred as much as possible.
