Misunderstandings and Sacrifices Made

michael-the-car.livejournal.comI'm looking for two genre of fics for my holiday reading.
1) Fics relating a John and Rodney break up due to a misunderstanding/simple lack of communication. It may be a fledgling relationship or a long standing one, but I would like a happy ending after a lot of angst.
2) Fics telling the lengths John or Rodney will go to to protect the other, and who they are willing to sacrifice to keep the other safe. No death of John or Rodney but anyone else is fair game. McShep please.
