Is There any stories where Rodney and Sam had a relationship But for some reason they aren't together anymore And John And Rodney are together. Sam becomes the head leader of Atlantis and either wants Rodney back or is being mean to him John is being really possessive or Jealous over Rodney.

Hi!

I'm looking for something that should be easier to find than it seems. It's a bit of a convoluted explanation, but:

1) Pining!John, but with the following difference: While John may think his pining is secret, Rodney is very aware of it, but deliberately chooses not to do act on it, even knowing he's hurting John. (Maybe, say, showing John that ring in Quarantine was a deliberate jab.) Not because of being straight, but for some other reason. Maybe they had history before Atlantis. Maybe it's because of the Chaya thing. Maybe the leaving him hanging during Runner thing. Maybe because of the Teer thing. Maybe the constant suicide runs. Or maybe because of something that really isn't John's fault but Rodney doesn't know. Whatever the reason for Rodney's behaviour, whether it actually is something John did or if it's some perceived problem, I'd like to see that in fiction. It doesn't matter whether happy or unhappy ending, as long as neither deliberate infidelity nor non-con/dub-con is involved.

2) The mirror of the same thing: Pining!Rodney, deliberately obtuse and hurtful John. Everything else same as above. So basically it's all about one party suffering for what the other one deems just reasons. Whether it really is just or not is immaterial. Though I realise this sounds like it calls for OOC behaviour, hopefully not necessarily.


3) On another note, and hopefully easier to find, I'm looking for fics that are about what this line from Tipper's story Thieves In Atlantis neatly sums up:

"What are we?" [John] demanded, throwing his arms up. "The chumps of the Pegasus Galaxy? Is everyone in this goddamned galaxy out to SCREW US OVER?"

In shalott's "Transcendental", Rodney solves that particular problem neatly. But if there's another fic that does that, I really can't remember, and can't seem to find either.

So yeah, any fics where someone says enough is enough and makes an example out of the next people who try that, and they gain a reputation.

On this one, I don't care about pairing, just as long as it has that little element of "Genova? What Genova? This is a war situation." in it.
