2 Parts: Rules & MacGuyver-type Solutions

In a somewhat celebratory mood, I finally read Daelena's "Idiot's Guide to the Pegasus Galaxy" (WIP & Gen!Fic with hints of John/Teyla, Ronon/Keller pairings to name a few) & it has inspired a 2 part search.

1)  I'm looking for any stories that center on rules or guidelines for those on Atlantis, whether those rules apply to life on Atlantis, life going out among the various planets in the Pegasus Galaxy, life adjusting between the differences between Earth & Atlantis -- what is allowed & what is not allowed, similar to mardahin 's "Atlantis PSAs - 25 Things to Remember Upon Returning to Earth" (Complete, No pairings, but related to the "Ripples..." series).  They can be in the form of lists or they can be stories of meetings discussing the implementation of rules, etc.  I'm pretty flexible on this one -- humor is good, too.  Pairings are not important, but please label them where applicable. 

2)  I'm looking for any stories where the Atlantis Expedition must use their individual / collective ingenuity to engineer a necessity or luxury for their life in the Pegasus Galaxy.  This could be anything from the very simple to the very complex.  And while I love Rodney, I wouldn't mind seeing some of these possible solutions coming from other members of the Expedition, as they are all intelligent people in their own right.  Pairings, again, are not important - although I am partial to the McShep pairing - but please label them where applicable.

**as a slight addendum to Part 2, I also wouldn't mind reading any stories where SciFi shows meet Atlantis Reality as far as gadgets go -- if the mind has dreamt & televised it, the Atlantis Scientists can produce a working model**

ETA #1:  I can't believe I mentioned the one story for mardahin 's "Ripples..." series for Part 1 of this request & forgot to mention the other.  To fix that, please definitely check out, as another example for Part 1,  "The Newcomer's List" by mardahin , which is another part of her "Ripples..." series -- rules for the new transfers to Atlantis, McShep & other Pairings.

ETA #2:  Also for Part 1, consider "Important, Do Not Kill The Scientist" by spike21  (it's a stretch, but it'll do -- no pairings), as well as "Board Wars" by greyias  & jadesfire2808  (another stretch, but it'll work -- no pairings & image-heavy).  Both are choking / snorting hazards, so don't eat or drink while reading.  ;)

happy new year!

i'm looking for two genres.... McShep or Gen is preferred...

1) Are there any stories that have Rodney travelling back in time to the dark ages (or other, i don't mind), then being stuck there and meeting John /others from Atlantis and revolutionizing that time with his knowledge?

2) Rodney taking either John and/or Ronon and Teyla to some clubs/dance events/other on Earth?
