I read a manga a long while ago called My Life With You (I'm currently trying to find it again). The basic plot was a scientist got kidnapped and held hostage for  5 years, finally managing to get an sos out the american military send a taskforce to rescue him, the bad guys were keeping the scientist hostage by wiring a bomb o him, like a to a collar or something and if he tampers with it it wil explode. The scientist and the military guy who rescues him eventually get together, falling in love and stuff, the scientist gets gaybashed a one point I believe for being somewhat open and the military guy can't do anything without looking gay too. Eventually it's discovered that the scientist is responisble for some sort of weapons system or something the enemy has, the two break up (I think, I'll need to re-read) but eventually get back together when a mission goes wrong nearly killing the military guy.

So basically, I'm looking for some fics along that theme, in either an AU universe, or if stargate related then John and Rodney don't know each other. So if anyone can give me a hand; I've had a god look through the military tag but I can't really find much on that theme. McShep only please.
