Homeless Rodney / Childhood Rodney

Hi there!

I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some fic about Rodney being homeless and out of a job, etc.

I'd also love some backstory - horrible childhood stuff.

I'm not really bothered whether it's canon-friendly or not, but if the SGA guys are involved, then I'd prefer McShep or gen with strong McShep friendship.

I've read all of the fic on Korillian's 'Misserable' childhood list and everything ever written by sardonicsmiley! I've also explored all the links on this site, so I've probably exhausted everything, but I throw myself on your mercy...!

I've only read a handful of miss_porcupine's fics, but I love the world building she's done with the marines and Little Tripoli. Are there any of her fics in which McKay plays a big part, especially ones that involve him interacting with her original Marine characters?

I'm looking for fics where Rodney feels he doesn't belong with team!shep because he *thinks* they're more beautiful/cooler/fitter than him. But then he finds out that they all (or at the very least John) thinks he's just has yummy.

Silly, but there must be something like this out there!
