Scary Lanteans

Recently I was rereading Retrograde and one of my favorite parts was where Jack described the marines as scary. I'm looking for other stories with parts like that where an outsider (SG-1, IOA, new recruits, people they meet while visiting earth, etc.) finds a person or a group from Atlantis intimidating while the Atlantis bunch is just shrugging it off as business as usual.

I know there are already some excellent recs for Scary!John and Scary!Rodney from past requests, and more of those would be great if you know of any. I'm actually looking for a little broader slice of fic. Could be fic with the science department being freakishly competent in battle situations. Or maybe something where Ronon is making people nervous.

Pairing-wise, bonus points for McShep, but other slash pairings, gen, or het is perfectly fine. I'm not picky as long as the writing is good.
