Rodney dissembling

I was reading some superpower!genre fic, and thinking to myself, 'self?  Wouldn't it be cool if one of the cast had a super-sekrit power they'd possessed for some time now, perhaps even before the expedition took off for Atlantis?  Wouldn't it be cool if that were Rodney?

'Wouldn't it be interesting if Rodney's abrasive personality was literally just all for show, to keep anyone from finding out about this power?'

All right, so this is a bit of a reach and all - just like always, I'm asking for something super-specific.  To generalize it a bit:

1) A fic where a member of the main cast (but especially Rodney) has an odd power that they keep secret, either from before Atlantis or gained somewhere along the way.
2) A fic where Rodney's abrasive personality is actually completely or mostly put-on for effect, for whatever reason.

As always, McShep preferred but not necessary; though Katie/Rodney and Jennifer/Rodney does make me itch.

Hello! Last post worked out great, thanks for all the fantastic recs, so let's try again.

I would really love to read some stories that have really great Rodney/Carson interaction, shippy or friendship. Preferably where they're the focus--long and plotty would be nice!--and where there's something more than "Rodney is injured and Carson is nice and doctory".

Also, I've read a few fics where Rodney and John break up or fight or, once, John pretends Rodney has just dumped him as a joke, and everyone is mad at Rodney for John's sake. I was wondering if there were any fics that were the other way around, where Rodney and any significant other have a fight or break up, and the majority of people side with Rodney? Or, hell, someone sides with Rodney, 'cause I don't see it that often, even when it's the other person's fault. If it's just an argument or something, no romantic relationship involved, that's fine too.
