John takes himself off the team

Hi,

I just read the wonderful story ( Flinch )

  by maisierita  and had a thought. 

In the story, there is a small section that is as follows:

I can rearrange the teams; it'd probably be easiest if I took myself off the off-world roster completely – Elizabeth thinks I ought to anyway, and Caldwell agrees.

So, I was wondering, are there any fics out there where John takes himself off the team?  I've read a few that has Rodney leave the team, but not much of John. 

I love angst, so any that has John leaving (or rearranging the team) out of anger or hurt feelings would be a plus but any with this theme would be appreciated.  Team angst is a double plus.

I love slash but will read gen if written well, I love McShep, angst, hurt comfort, pining.  I'm not into earthside, so maybe no 'John going back to earth', just off the team.

I loveth the fics where John is a fibbing fibber who fibs, but I have a hankering to read one where he really has to work to regain Rodney's trust again, at least in a romantic way.

I have totally nothing against the "okay, you said sorry and you're hot, so let's shag" type fics, but I really want to read ones where I'm like "That'll learn 'im". Ones where you get the satisfied feeling that John really understands how he hurt/upset Rodney. Bonus if it's insecure "how could I get with someone that hot?" Rodney, 'cause I loves insecure Rodney <3

A happy ending is a total must, AU, long fics are great.

So, I read msgordo's fic "Love's Tangled Web" over here. And now I can't help but want more along the same lines.

So I'm looking for McShep stories that work along the lines of "The Count of Monte Cristo" where in John's geared up to take down the McKay family, and ends up pretty much owning Rodney through blackmail.

Can anyone think of other stories like this?

I've searched the list of lists, Delicious, NotMcShep, hell, I've even Googled... and I'm not getting anywhere!

Is there McKay/Caldwell other than Fusillade? I mean, there has to be at least a couple of them? Somewhere? Anyone?

Okay, there are a couple, but it's not even worth a tag. (I'm disappointed, I was hoping there was a secret stash of Caldwell used to be Skinner and knew Rodney from Area 51)

Sexually Experienced Rodney

So I keep seeing Virgin!Rodney stories everywhere, but I haven't really seen many confident experienced Rodney stories. Which is weird, since apparently 90% of the fandom shares my crush on Mckay, so it'd stand to reason that at least in some stories he should get his due share of adoration!
So are there any stories where maybe John and the team suddenly realise that McKay actually has quite a fanclub, or maybe a woman from Rodney's past comes to Atlantis and talks about how Rodney used to be a wild party animal or a Casanova/sex god extraordinaire or something? And John stops taking him for granted and gets jealous?
Preferably McShep, but everything will do.
