Crazy fics

For some reason, don't ask me why, I'm in the mood for mental health related fics. Like breakdowns, or disease that make someone seem to be "going crazy."

I don't care who the main character is in it, if it is a single person out an outbreak, if it is resolved in the end or not. It can be dark or lighter; whump is always good by me :) However, I would REALLY like Carson; John is up on the list too.

I don't mind mild ship or slash. Nothing to heavy please. Kiss here or there is FAR different then sex scenes.

This is my first post, I did read the rule/guidelines and I'm trying to follow them. Let me know if I did something wrong! I will edit this, and I apologize in advanced! I hope I tagged right too.

Also, be sure to check korilian's tags for the other list, 'Rodney's Miserable Childhood', I think - while not exactly what you asked for, some of those do explain why Rodney is like he is, and messed up by upbringing isn't that far from an actual mental illness. *cough* ^.^

Of Colouring Books and Lt Colonels by Stealth Dragon has John recovering from torture in the infirmary and worrying Rodney with his not normal behaviour. Carson is there too.

Heh! Good question. Here is the theybrokeJohn! (http://del.icio.us/Kirinin/theybrokeJohn!) tag on my del.icio.us account: stories where John losing it (temporarily or for good) is a main plotpoint. I actually just read Heart of Ice (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_flashfic/760964.html), which is an excellent example of WTF?!John! angst.

As far as the slash goes, I recommend you check the author's rating. If it's 'R'-rated or more, you probably won't like the fic. :) Then, you could always skim scenes you find displeasing. I find myself doing that rather often, pr0n or no pr0n.

No one else loses it often enough for them to have a tag of their very own, but there are certainly a few 'Elizabeth goes mad with the POWAH' fics out there. (I wonder who's got some of those? Anyone?)

I know this might seem like throwing a buncha stuff at you. However, everything I tag comes highly recommended. Especially check the fics that are tagged 'verygood', 'excellent', and 'bestofthebest'. :)
