Specific McShep kid!fics

I'm searching for two specific kinds of McShep kid!fics. I've come across a few kid!fic lists in the SGA fandom, but they never differentiate between the kinds of kid!fic: mpreg, adoption, one biological parent, two biological parents, guardianship, de-aging, just a kid in the story, etc. And I like to know these things before I start reading.

So here's what I'm looking for:

1) Kid!fics in which both John and Rodney are the biological parents, but without any mpreg (that I know how to find):
--- Ex: A Beautiful Lifetime Event & Atlantis Observed

...or...

2) Kid!fics in which neither John nor Rodney are the biological parents, but are raising the kid(s):
--- Ex: The 'Raising Madison' Series & Weddings, Plural, and a Yak

AU or not; all recs are welcome. I really have no idea how many of these kinds of fic are out there in the SGA fandom, so I'm asking! :)

Just to be clear, I am not looking for:
* mpreg
* only Rodney is a biological parent
* only John is a biological parent

I hope that doesn't limit the search to zero, but we'll see. Any help is appreciated!

Should have mentioned, no mpreg in either, both are use of ancient tech stories set on Atlantis like Beautiful Lifetime Event. First is a deathfic (so warning), but ultimately hopeful & the second deals with a difficult issue & is rather sad in tone.

Anyways, I was reccing rageprufrock's "Bell Curve" series (can be found on her site among her SGA fics (http://glitterati.talkoncorners.net/fiction/index.php#sga)), an AU in which Rodney and John get together, then accidentally end up adopting two kids, neither of which is their biological relation. I'm fairly sure, at least. :-)

The Paradigm Shift 'Verse (http://mausi.livejournal.com/218134.html) by mausi is widely beloved. It's the one with Caden.

Supersymmetry (http://lallybroch.livejournal.com/30336.html) by lallybroch is the one where the kid belongs to John and Rodney, just not our John and Rodney.

Both are stories in which the child is biologically theirs.

You know, I think I've read the very first story in that series, and then completely forgot that it continued and never got around to reading them. Thanks for the rec! I didn't know they had kids in it.

There's 7 stories on the site - I'm fairly sure that's the lot, as it's not a new series, but you can always check out Pru's blog (linked at her site) to make sure.

And just to reassure you, it's a fanfastic, wonderful, humorous and crack-filled series. Has it's share of angst, but nothing overly permanent, and the last story is as awesome as the first.

The series starts off with Rodney seeing John strip at a club, then John becomes Rodney's TA (Rodney's a uni teacher), then John becomes Rodney's imaginary boyfriend, and from there they progress to living together, accidental adoptions, and almost-marital life with kids. Hope that was spoilery enough to entice you on, but not enough to ruin the series for you.

Oh yeah, and "Curve Ball" is a minor crossover with due South; but even if you don't know the fandom/characters it won't affect the rest of the story.

Surrogate Father by hackthis (http://hackthis.livejournal.com/373536.html) has John adopting a child and then meeting Rodney.

This second one may not meet your requirements, but Woobies of Woe bu AbilityMaren (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=448&i=1) has Rodney being forced to look after a 2 year old girl on a temporary basis. He then proceeds to turn her into a weapon of mass consternation as revenge. This is not McShep but is very funny.

( While on the subject of kidfics, if not quite the subject of my original post, you like mpreg as well? Do you have a lot of McShep mpreg recs? I've read some good ones myself but I'm always looking for more. This post isn't the right place for them, but I thought I'd hit you up while I have you here. :) )

I'm brain dead right now, and don't have any specific list o'recs, but these run the gamut from cracky and funny to OMG, so sad.
